Breakdown help · Ferozepur Road
One of the busiest roads in Lahore, and one of the worst places to stop. Get off the running lane if the car will still move, then send us your location and a technician comes to you.
If it will still move at all, get it out of the running lane first. We confirm the diagnosis where the car is and tell you honestly whether it is roadside work.
Switch the engine off rather than trying to reach the next turning, and leave the coolant cap alone until it has cooled properly.
Daily short crawling journeys quietly flatten a battery. We test, jump and replace on the spot rather than booking you in.
Tell us that when you call. A car obstructing traffic on this road goes to the front of the queue ahead of a routine job.
The helpline runs all night and on holidays. Send your location and a technician calls you straight back.
Ferozepur Road runs the length of the city from Kalma Chowk down past Chungi Amar Sidhu towards Kahna, and it is slow for most of the day at both ends. That combination, long distance covered very slowly, is the hardest thing you can ask of a car, and the faults it produces are predictable enough that the van is stocked for them.
Clutches come first. A clutch that is worked continuously in a queue gets hot and stays hot, and it tends to announce the end of its life in the middle of the junction rather than considerately at home. Overheating is second, for the same reason: a cooling system that copes perfectly at speed has nothing to work with at walking pace on a June afternoon.
The third pattern is the one nobody expects, which is flat batteries on cars that are driven every single day. A short crawling commute with the lights, the fan and the air conditioning all running can take more out of a battery than the alternator puts back, and after a few months of that the car simply stops starting.
You get a call back almost immediately with a realistic arrival window based on where exactly you are and what the traffic is doing. We would rather tell you an honest forty minutes than promise ten and leave you watching the road.
Say so when you book. Obstructing calls are triaged ahead of routine work. If the car still moves at all, get it out of the running lane before you wait, even if that means a difficult hundred metres.
Usually not. A clutch needs the gearbox off, which needs a lift. What we do on site is confirm that it really is the clutch rather than something cheaper, then help you arrange recovery. You pay the call-out rather than for work that cannot be done.
Send your location and a technician calls you straight back, at any hour.
